We believe that absolutely every person must have access to a sufficient amount of quality water in order to meet their daily needs. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to involve the population and local communities more directly in the decision-making processes regarding this resource. We oppose the privatization of water and water assets. The interest of private companies is not the long-term and sustainably planned production of water, but the acquisition of as much profit as possible. Therefore, water must be a public good in common ownership. We are advocating for a change in the Constitution that would guarantee a sustainable supply of quality drinking water to households on a non-profit basis. Property status must not be a condition for access to water. That is why it is necessary to increase public investments in infrastructure that will provide access to quality water, and especially help poorer regions to reach that standard.
