Additional support to our partners for “Joint Initiatives”

Additional support to our partners for “Joint Initiatives”

The ACT project has identified additional financial support for partner organizations that want to realize their ideas in cooperation with other organizations and informal groups.

Through such initiatives, they accomplish missions that are common, solve local issues important to communities, or the target group they work with.

Main conditions:

• A partnership of at least 3 and at most 5 OGD/NFG, where the partner OGD has the role of the application holder.

• Planned interventions can last from 6 to 12 months.

• Initiatives must not be part of your already supported development plans.

Possible forms of initiatives:

 • Recommendations for the development or changes of public policies

 • Shadow reports

 • Joint advocacy campaigns

• Other advocacy actions relevant to the community

The program fits into the wider framework of the AKT 2 project “Together for an active civil society”, which supports the development of OGD/NFG capacities, multidisciplinary work, advocacy and strengthening of the civic support base.

The first organizations that started new initiatives are: “Proactive”, “Space”, “Our world our rules” and “Team 42”. The organization Proaktiv with the informal group “Super Trnavci” launched the initiative “Our choice, our community” dealing with the problem of the absence of direct elections for local communities in the city of Nis, where elections have not been held since 2009. Association Prostor with PIN and Caritas Serbia launched the initiative “Za tebe #VAŽNOJE”, the Mental Health Network “NaUm”, which aims to create a new Mental Health Strategy after 2026. The prevention of peer violence on the Internet is carried out by the organization “Our World, Our Rules” in partnership with the citizens’ association “Udruženje EKO-BU”. Team 42 from Leskovac for OGD “Activists from the neighborhood” and “Team for development and integration” launched the initiative to improve air quality “First steps for a good plan – improving air quality in Vranje”.
