The Chance for Parenthood Association is an association of interested citizens who are committed to improving the conditions of in vitro fertilization in Serbia. Owing to our engagement, we have become publicly recognized for a taboo breaking approach in issues relating to the assisted reproduction processes, for advocating better quality of services in clinics, and for the increase in the number of bio-medically assisted procreation procedures, financed by the Republic Fund of Health Insurance, for advocating the increase of the age limit for women who need IVF at the expense of RFHI, as well as for the promotion, education and counseling on in vitro fertilization. We strive to act on several fronts – to inform and educate the target group, to be active and to take an activist approach to bringing changes in the system in order to motivate the competent services to create all of the conditions necessary for the improvement of quality and conditions of bio-medically assisted procreation in Serbia.

We strive to act on several fronts – to inform and educate the target group, to be active and to take an activist approach to bringing changes in the system in order to motivate the competent services to create all of the conditions necessary for the improvement of quality and conditions of bio-medically assisted procreation in Serbia.

For the purpose of achieving the objectives set, the Chance for Parenthood Association in particular:

1. Undertakes activities to create conditions for the promotion of bio-medically assisted fertilization, adoption parenting and surrogacy;
2. Collects and processes scientific and professional literature in the field of bio-medically assisted reproduction, adoption parenting and surrogacy;
3. Organizes, independently or together with other organizations, natural persons or legal entities, professional gatherings, conferences, seminars and other forms of education in the field of bio-medically assisted reproduction and adoption parenting;
4. Organizes medical, educational workers and volunteers to work on the education on bio- medically assisted procreation and adoption parenting;
5. Cooperates with medical institutions, the Ministries and other state authorities and organizations, in charge of the area of bio-medically assisted procreation, adoption parenting, social protection, health protection, birth control, protection of persons with disabilities and the like, both locally and abroad;
6. Takes part in the work of the working bodies or groups regarding the adoption of laws and bylaws;
7. Publishes books and other publications in the field of bio-medically assisted procreation and adoption;
8. Keeps the public informed about the Association’s results.

The Vision of the Association is a society that actively works on meeting the needs of couples and individuals for whom the only way to have offspring is assisted reproduction.
The Mission of the Chance for Parenthood Association is the responsible behavior of all for the betterment of couples and individuals who want offspring. We have realized that the society does not place sufficient emphasis on the issue of infertility, and that therefore fails to exhaust all efforts aimed at resolving this problem. We are committed to raising the citizens’ awareness.

We focus on raising awareness of the public regarding the BAP problem, we inform couples and individuals about the problem of infertility, put pressure on relevant institutions to expand the rights of patients facing infertility, put pressure on legislators, advocate other problems related to infertility and provide assistance to couples and individuals faced with the problem of infertility on a daily basis.
