The National Association of Youth Work Practitioners (NAPOR) was established in 2009, as a result of an initiative of civil society organizations in Serbia, which conduct youth work. They recognized the need to ensure the quality of youth work programs, to standardize, professionalize and be recognized by young people, institutions working with young people, the state and society in general.
At the founding assembly, the Guidelines for Quality Assurance of Youth Work were adopted, which served as the basis for the creation of all other documents, processes and mechanisms that NAPOR has developed so far.
The project “It’s important! – Systemic solutions for youth “aims to improve youth work services through cooperation and mobilization of parents to address issues of importance to youth at the local and national level. The project plans to create mechanisms to involve parents as allies to youth workers in addressing issues of importance for young people at the local and national level, establishing cross-sectoral services that contribute to the better position of young people and recognizing youth work at the local level and strengthening network capacity through the development of NAPOR’s advocacy approach and expansion of support groups.
The members of the association are the Youth of JAZAS Novi Sad, the Youth of JAZAS Kragujevac, the Association of Veles from Vladicin Han, the organization of the civil society Urban Stream from Pozarevac.
