At the session of the Council for Corporate Social Responsibility of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, held on the SCC premises, Council members and participants discussed current initiatives and topics related to socially responsible and sustainable business practices, as well as projects that contribute to strengthening cooperation between the business and civil society sectors.
A special segment of the session was dedicated to the presentation of the ACT Project, which aims to strengthen the capacities of organizations and companies for socially responsible action, improve the quality of dialogue with local communities, and encourage partnerships among various social actors. Opportunities for cooperation within the ACT Project were presented by Program Advisor Marko Rakić. During the presentation, the project’s objectives, key activities, and expected results were outlined, particularly in the context of developing responsible business practices in Serbia.
The presentation of the ACT Project was assessed as a significant contribution to the further development of corporate social responsibility in Serbia, with the conclusion that it is necessary to continue promoting similar initiatives and strengthening cross-sector cooperation within the framework provided by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
The session also addressed other important topics, including the improvement of inclusion policies, the development of a supportive environment for civil society organizations, and current national-level processes related to corporate social responsibility. Council members exchanged experiences and emphasized the importance of initiatives that connect the business sector, institutions, and civil society organizations.
