{"id":13023,"date":"2026-06-09T14:54:46","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T12:54:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/act.org.rs\/en\/?p=13023"},"modified":"2026-06-09T14:54:46","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T12:54:46","slug":"from-reporting-to-real-impact-the-role-of-the-social-component-of-esg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/act.org.rs\/en\/from-reporting-to-real-impact-the-role-of-the-social-component-of-esg\/","title":{"rendered":"From Reporting to Real Impact: The Role of the Social Component of ESG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">At the <span class=\"s1\"><i>Be Risk Protected<\/i><\/span> conference held in Belgrade, Gorana Radovanovi\u0107, Manager of Helvetas Serbia and Team Leader of the ACT Project, participated in the panel discussion \u201cESG as a Risk Management Tool.\u201d She spoke about the importance of the social (S) component of ESG and the role of civil society organizations in creating sustainable social impact, highlighting the work of ACT partner organizations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Drawing on more than a decade of Helvetas\u2019 experience in Serbia, Radovanovi\u0107 emphasized that civil society organizations help companies better understand the needs of local communities, identify social risks in a timely manner, and establish meaningful dialogue with vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">She particularly highlighted the importance of organizations that work daily with citizens and communities across Serbia, citing concrete examples of ACT project partners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cSuch organizations represent an important bridge between companies and the people affected by their decisions,\u201d Radovanovi\u0107 noted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">One of the key messages of the panel was that successful ESG starts with understanding the local context and listening to the voices of communities. Moving beyond reporting toward real impact requires measuring what truly matters \u2013 tangible improvements in people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Alongside Gorana Radovanovi\u0107, the panel also featured Leo Pand\u017ei\u0107, Director of the Sustainable Development Directorate at DDOR Insurance, and Marija Mitrovi\u0107 Bo\u0161kovi\u0107, ESG Expert at A1 Serbia.
