Our program advisor, Gorana Radovanović, visited Vlasina yesterday, where she met with the representatives of the Association Cuvari Vlasine, but also with the representatives of the local self-government and the Tourist Organization of Serbia who are in charge of this area.

During the realization of the project, Cuvari Vlasine provided proper and safe storage and preservation of waste from weather conditions and animals, to transportation to the landfill. Namely, they enabled easier waste disposal and access to the waste place. They also educated the local community about the importance of preserving the environment and created new community habits.
According to the members of the association, the procurement of containers within the ACT project enabled cooperation with the local self-government, ie. The Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Surdulica (TOS), which provided the funds for the transport of containers, and enabled the purchase of additional containers. This cooperation will continue in the coming period.
It should be noted that Cuvari Vlasine achieved significant visibility on social networks – the action of setting up containers and cleaning had over 40,000 views on Facebook.
